Scott Mattson
Designer at Country Willow
Scott has always loved art. As a teen, he attended painting classes, learning composition, color, form, balance and shape. He studied graphic arts and worked as a designer. Twenty five years ago he switched to interior design and never turned back. Scott calls interior design "the pleasure of getting to paint in three dimensions." He has found inspiration in all his travels, from the greatest piazzas to the smallest towns.
He will listen carefully to clients, enabling him to design a custom interior that will enhance their lives. Scott loves to draw, especially abstract composition, emphasizing light and color. He believes art has an intrinsic grammar shared across all mediums. His design aesthetic is fluid, timeless, simple, clean and versatile. Every day, he applies his belief that great design tells a beautiful story, reflecting how we live and who we are. When not helping Country Willow's customers, he enjoys art, travel, reading, music and people.
